Ask Kazuhide - December 09

By Kazuhide

Harro dear readers. Today I have two serious topic to discusting to you. First, some gaijins is make the movie about Mie town that enjoy killing the dolphin. Another, so many reader send me question about the Mr. Christopher Savoie and how he try to kidnap the children to America.

First I want to say, Japan is the free country. It is the right of Japanese to kill dolphins and to kidnap their children. It is un-aliens right, from the God.

Again, I have to correct the statement from head of Japanese Embassy, he say:  "Our two nations approach divorce and child-rearing differently. Parental child abduction is not considered a crime in Japan."

They forgetting to say, JAPANESE parental child abduction is not the crime. Otherwise, some might thinking it is unfair to arresting the gaijin kidnapper, and not mother. It is important to distinct the Japanese and the American in this case. Prease let me showing you the concrete rule regard the child custardy Japan. I know it is difficult and confusing even to we Japanese, so even more complicate for you to understand of course:

1. Japanese father and Japanese mother separate:
mother keep the baby and all right to kidnap

2. American father and Japanese mother separate:
of course Japanese mother, her DNA get the 2/3 vote for children

3. Japanese father and American mother:
father's sister, aunt, or cousin get the children

4. Korean with Japan citizenship father and Korean Japan citizen mother:
Japanese government keep the children until they are 18

Dear Kazuhide,
Of course I can't argue with your wisdom but what in the event that BOTH parents are Japanese? Is the woman's DNA more special than the Japanese man's? Why does Japanese law believe that Japanese men don't care about their children so only the women have custody and legal rights to the kids?
Chris Carson

Dear Chris,
Of course children is very very important to Japanese father. But it is still fact the Japanese father have tremendous responsibility to work and society, and so they cannot raising the children as single father. How can you change the diaper inside the mahjong or pachinko room? It is impossible! Golf bag is heavy, how can you carry the baby also? Don't being so ridiculous.
