Kat McDowell, John Janzen & Shion Yamagami LIVE September 11

While it may be farther afield than most Nagites wander when staving off the heat, Hillside Place located in Seto, offers a respite from the heat. On September 11th they will be hosting some cool tunes laid down by Kat McDowell, John Janzen and Shion Yamaguchi.

In August 2009, Kat McDowell released her first full album, “Echoes Over The Ocean”, produced by the internationally acclaimed Yashiki Gota. With a combination of catchy acoustic guitar-led melodies and powerful lyrics sung in a blend of Japanese and English, her folk-pop style has captured the attention of Japanese audiences.

John Janzen is a YouTube celebrity for productions such as “Christmas in Japan,” and “Magibon”. He is well known for the strumming acoustic melodies he has given Japan’s international community for several years. Accompanied by singer Shion Yamagami, the duo create bilingual melodies with beautiful harmony and a folk-rock texture that appeals to all audiences.
