Mega - Crash involving 8 Ferraris, a Lamborghini, 3 Mercedes, and a Prius!

Tis the Season For Schadenfreude

You've probably heard about one of the most expensive car crashes in history which happened Sunday Dec 4th. Eight Ferraris, a Lamborghini and three Mercedes-Benzes wrecked on an expressway Sunday December 4th, coating the road in an Italian red metal sauce worth more than $4 million.

BUT, what caused the crash?

Reportedly, the cause of the mega-accident was a Ferrari trying to pass a Toyota Prius and then hitting a guardrail. And, most interestingly, the Prius rode away nearly unscathed, only suffering a bit of rear bumper damage.

Some 14 cars in all were involved in the chain-reaction crash on an expressway named China Road in Yamaguchi prefecture, leaving 10 people with minor injuries. While the injuries were light, several of the vehicles appear totaled.
