Gang Snowman

Love Hotel of the Month!
Going
to a love hotel is a bit like eating out. Sure, it?s all well and good
to have dinner at home most nights, but sometimes you want to go
somewhere with a little more atmosphere: a place that will heighten
your dining experience, or let you try out new things that your own
kitchen just isn?t equipped for.
That?s where Gang Snowman comes in: it?s got, ahem, equipment that you just won?t find anywhere else. The theme rooms here are intended to send your heart racing a little bit, to help you let go of your inhibitions and, if you?ve been with your partner for a while, recapture the thrill you felt at the beginning of your relationship.
Every room has a unique design: whether you want romantic or kinky, cute or scary, modern or old-fashioned, there?s something for you. The beds are industrial strength, and room service offers a huge menu of sex toys and costumes to choose from. Many rooms are equipped with bath mats and body lotion (if you fancy a soapland-style frisson), not to mention Jacuzzis and saunas. If you?re curious about S&M, meanwhile, you can try it out here ? no need to invest in handcuffs and bondage chairs, or fret about houseguests finding manacles in your closet.
Some of Gang Snowman?s more famous rooms include #202 (a mini-jail cell, complete with bondage-cross to strap your partner to), #209 (check out the vaulting horse with manacles attached!), #305 (bizarre black light artwork featuring snowmen riding flying carpets), and #309 (the ultimate kinky, S&M jungle gym!). All guests are also welcome to use the rooftop spa, a.k.a. the ?fantastic garage?, for free. It has an outdoor bath inside a Cadillac Convertible, an S&M chair, and squirt guns. Just call room service and see if it?s available.
Novelty value aside, another thing that makes Gang Snowman special is its service. Chances are that you?ll never see him or his staff, but the manager, Mr. Yoneyama, is obsessed with giving his customers their money?s worth, and has been working 20 hours a day, 28 days a month, for the last 18 years to provide it. There?s a freezer full of ice cream and a drink machine in the lobby that guests can help themselves to for free, and you can call room service if you don?t like the brand of shampoo in your room (they have seven others to choose from). Angelo also takes special requests, and has been known to help people prepare birthday surprises like cake, champagne and flowers.
Gang Snowman is part of the ?Plaza Angelo Group? of love hotels, which has branches all over Kansai. See their homepage for more information about their other locations. The management has kindly offered a ?000 discount to Japanzine readers who call room service and mention this article.
